Michael Kerrigan (alias Johnny Dobbs) was born and brought up in the slums of the fourth ward of New York City. He started his illustrius career as a pickpocket and later graduated to bank robber. Johnny was an associate of dapper Sam Perris, and was also a suspect in the Barron Murder. He was accused of the assisting Perris in throwing Barron into the vault after handcuffing, gagging and choking the banker with the noose later found around his neck.
