Erma Bentley indentified this as Job Abott's pant shop crew. The photograph was taken between 1870 and 1880, when the shop was on the second floor of the Dustin building, whick stood where the present Gazette is located behind Main Street. Women laborers were not only needed but accepted into the workforce the latter part of the nineteenth century.
