Sam Perris (alias Worcester Sam) is still at large and wanted for the Dexter Savings Bank robbery and the J.W. Barton murder. Perris remains a prime suspect a century later, with a standing reward of $3,000 offered for his capture. He was a dapper French Canadian, largely respected in the bank robbing community, who was fluent in both French and English (which he spoke with no trace of an accent). He sported a scar on his face from a pistol shot on his right eyebrow, and alternately was whiskered or clean shaven. If you see Worcester Sam please report his whereabouts to the Dexter Historical Society.
